Against the Horrific Slander...

The characters Jesus, Judas and Mary Magdalene are very well known to people.

Even in their alternative presentations, especially Mary Magdalene who holds increasing fascination for modern writers who seek to know the “true” story of her life.

The character of Lily, by contrast, is a complete unknown. Yet to me she seems like the most important personage of all, especially when she is liberated from her original role as the Sealed Prophet.

I write short books because I write for economy, I’ll always try to cut things back to their essence if I can.

Which is why this book is no longer subtitled: “Against the horrific slander and accusation propagated against Judas by the Christian Peoples, and all others seduced by their libellous beliefs: the witting, the unwitting, and the wilfully blind”.

Gotta love that Elizabethan pomp!!
