Judas: Not Hung But Crucified

I created this image in order to do one of those cool things on instagram: where you intersperse one type of image with another to form a grid on your feed.

I am a complete social media sceptic/dolt but this is what they say you must do in order to get attention on Instagram.

I would have thought that completely re-writing the narratives of the Gospels should be enough. Or putting up pictures of the Crucifixion claiming that Judas was the one crucified instead of Jesus but apparently that’s for amateurs 😅

Before anyone accuses me of blasphemy, apostasy, or offensive conduct I would say: this is the story that Muslims tell, that Jesus was never crucified and that it was quite possibly Judas who went to the cross in his place.

All that I am trying to do is to get to the bottom of the story, by abandoning any claim to literal truth in favour of what I call metaphorical or humane truth: to find the narrative that resonates with us most deeply, which instructs our hearts in the ways of love and the right path by which to go.

The book is now available on Amazon (links in my bio) and there are long excerpts available free at the book website:

The "true" story of the (hitherto) unrisen sun, the unsung hero and the true Lion of Judah.
